A Passion Born in Melbourne
My story with coffee and the friendship with Simone Guidi of @lasosta, to whom I owe all my knowledge and passion for coffee today, has roots far from Italy – precisely in Melbourne, Australia. While it may seem strange to us Italians, Melbourne has established itself as the Coffee Capital of the world, with a culture deeply rooted in the art of coffee brewing.
This love affair with coffee blossomed during my bike trip to Australia in 2011, a journey that marked a turning point in my life. It was during this adventure that I discovered the true magic of coffee, not just as a beverage but as a symbol of community, connection, and shared passion.
Coincidentally, Simone was also in Australia at that time, working in the best coffee shops in Melbourne. We bonded over our shared love for cycling and coffee, and soon our friendship evolved into a strong collaboration.
